2026 Open Tournament Rules
USBC RULES AND THOSE LISTED HEREIN WILL GOVERN THIS TOURNAMENT
- ELIGIBILITY: Tournament shall be open to all members of the Middle Tennessee Area USBC, who have purchased a membership with USBC ($25.00) for the 2025-2026 season. Affiliate members (surrounding Middle Tennessee Area USBC) may also participate, as long as the member has purchased a local membership ($8.00) with the Middle Tennessee Area Amy membership fee not current (USBC or Local Middle Tennessee Area USBC), may be purchased with entry or prior to competition.
- EVENTS: This Tournament will consist of a four (4) person (any mix) Team Event, two (2) person Doubles Event, and one (1) person Singles Event and All Events.
3. AVERAGE AND HANDICAP:
- Highest 2024-2025 average verified on www.bowl.com with a minimum of 48 games OR
- Highest 2023-2024 average verified on www.bowl.com with a minimum of 48 games OR
- Current 2025-2026 average as of April 17, 2026 from a USBC sanctioned league with a minimum of 48 games. Verification of average must be provided.
- If none of the above applies, the bowler will be assigned an average of
Summer League (starts after March 1 5 and ends before August 1) averages will NOT be accepted in this Tournament.
Any bowler who has a current average as of April 1 7, 2026, which is 1 0+ pins higher than their entering average as determined above, will use their current average (Rule 31 9a). Average corrections must be made by the end of the first game of the first series or could be subject to disqualification.
All handicaps will be based on 90% of the difference in the bowler's average and 220.
- REPORTING OF PRIZE MONEY: Rule 319d "Reporting Prior Prize Winnings", applies to this Bowlers not reporting prior winnings as outlined in Rule 319d, will be disqualified and NO REFUND will be given. Prize winnings are for the period of April 202 5 to April. 2026. Form 31 9d is on the back page of this entry and on bowl.com.
- NUMBER OF TIMES ENTERED: There will be NO limit on the number of times a Team or bowler may enter the Tournament after the initial entry, EXCEPT a bowler may only enter All Events once; first Bowlers must enter both the Doubles and Singles Events; first time only. Replacements in All Events WILL NOT be permitted. To place more than once in the Prize List for position standings, the following will apply:
- change two (2) bowlers in Team and 2) change one (1) bowler in Doubles. In the Singles Event, the same individual MAY NOT place more than once in the (Rule 31 5).
- PRIZE LIST: At least one (1) prize for every eight (8) entries in each event will be Cash prizes will be presented to the winners in each event. All prize fees will be returned at 1 00%.
- TIE SCORES: Ties for ALL paying positions in ANY EVENT, will be combined and split If there is a tie for 1st place in ANY EVENT, Co-Champions will be declared.
- ENTRY FEES AND REFUNDS: Entries must be postmarked by April 1 7, NO Team or Individual shall be entitled to a refund after the entry fees have been received and definite dates assigned.
- RETURNED CHECKS: There will be a $30.00 returned check
- DRESS CODE: Bowlers participating in the Tournament MUST BE DRESSED APPROPRIATELY. Bowlers SHALL wear shirts with sleeves, casual slacks, jeans without holes, and casual jean shorts NO more than 3" above the NO tank tops, cutoffs, swimsuits, spandex, jogging attire or clothing with vulgar language will be allowed. Any discrepancy will be resolved by the Tournament Manager and that decision WILL BE FINAL.
- SMOKING: Tusculum Strike & Spare is a non-smoking facility; this includes e-cigs. Smoking is permitted outside in designated areas
- CLOSING DATE: First initial entry WILL NOT be accepted after the closing date; midnight on 04/17/2026. ONLY re-entries will be accepted. NO ENTRIES WILL BE REFUNDED AFTER SCHEDULED.
